that's interesting. it's sort of the opposite of the 4th of july for us....this
is the first i've ever heard of it and they've been celebrating for several
centuries.

definition of insurgent: somebody belonging to a group involved in an uprising

sounds like we fit that definition.

the market use to hesitate at any type of actions or threats.....now we just
don't care and have gotten complacent again....so much for backgound checks.

What part of the Fort Hood story did you really think was news worthy? That the
shooter had recently converted to Islam? Is it really news worthy that a Major
working in the psychiatric department received poor reviews at the Walter Reed
Hospital system . . . or actually needed psychiatric assistance himself? Or is
it news worthy that perhpas Major Hasan publicly stated that Muslims should rise
up against the insurgents (in Iraq and Afghanastan)?

Besides, there is no war on terror and firearms should not be in the hands of
most Americans . . . especially those who may be considered to be a tad bit
unstable and a wee bit on the radical side . . . Of note, Major Hasan would not
be considered a real or perceived threat by the current Homeland Security

hmmm, I wonder where he's from?

umm when the news first broke no one knew who was doing the shooting ......i
remember when an aircraft wrecked into an apartment building (with a small
explosion too small for what terrorrists normally use)....at the time that it
affected the market...no one knew what type of aircraft nor who was flying it.

Incidents like this have no effect on the stock market. This was a soldier that
went crazy on the military base, not a terrorist attack.
