A stock may be reported as Bollinger Band 12 & another stock has a BB of 38
........

What can I do with this information?

are you talking about bollinger band WIDTH? cuz otherwise, im just as lost as
everyone else. if youre asking a bout the width, you cant do much with that info
based on the nominal number. that has too much to do with the stocks price.

if you use it relative to the stock itself and its past pattern, that can help.
but the number itself is useless

Once your fundamental analysis has identified a good stock, BBs can help you
find good entry points. But it's not as simple as buying when price tags the
lower band, and selling when price tags the upper band. Price can often ride the

BBs simply mark standard deviations of a moving average. There are two numbers
- the first for the moving average you want, the second for the number of
standard deviations.

With 12 and 38, I can only assume those are moving averages because they make no
sense for std dev.

Stocks aren't reported as BBs. Techies use them to measure price volatility.

check on utube for some b band tutorials. I've been using them for years and
haven't a clue what your talking about.

go to stock charts.com and look up bollinger bands. its a little involved. mike
