Dan what do you think about the technicals of BWEN's breakout?
I already read your previous comment about it. Wasn't sure if your previous
comment was about the fundamentals or technicals.

With regards to NIMBY - there are some big ones outside Bowling Green Ohio where
in the middle of a windy corn field. Don't think anyone cares. They seem to be
spinning alot. )
Broadwind's breakout is largely driven by several of the mutual funds that
follow Jeff Gendell's stock picks (read Bill Miller's Legg Mason Value) as well
as BWEN's acension to Powershares wind ETF. Removal of the SOX compliance
overhang -- because of the financial controls situation at Brad Foote Gear Works
-- helps as well. Next up move will likely come when Gendell's Tontine
officially announces the transfer of the shares held in the two leveraged funds
that they are closing to a new unleveraged one. Additional price support will
emerge when the Street sees evidence of continued strong production activity in
spite of slowdowns with other component manufacturers. Finally, we should see
very strong upward movement when the company announces a long anticipated
strategic deal -- perhaps the acquisition of Trinity's tower division. I
believe that the shorts (
wind is the furture,it will come last in this country but will gain be come a

I know nothing about BWEN. I know they make wind turbines...and when Teddy
Kennedy gives the "go ahead" to them putting wind turbines off his
nice little home in Nantucket, then I'll be a believer in wind. Until then, I
still think wind is going to be troubled by the NIMBY crowd ("not in my
backyard"). But it is being bought now by the high-beta crowd that seizes
on such things. Fundamentally? I know nothing. They are in the quiet period.
