Dan, I know an older gentlemen who traded for years and lost everything as a
result of the tech bubble. It destroyed him not only financially but
emotionally and physically as well. This man has forgotten more than I've ever
learned. He's been monitoring the markets for the last year and feels he's
ready to re-enter the trading community. Given his advanced stage in life, if
he came to you, in what direction would you point him?

you failed to mention that the sec has trading restrictions that cramer has to
follow that he can't just trade anytime he wants. so sometimes he might not be
able to take advantage of some of these rallies up or down, like everyone else
can. but his rules for trading/investing.....priceless!

dan how does a guy that says"I focus on risk management, which is something
that a guy like him would benefit from."handle working for cramer a guy who
has zero risk management evident buy the number of stocks in his aa portfolio
down over 50%?
Honestly? I'd point him to my website (and I'm not hyping stockmarketmentor
here -- though I'm happy to shamelessly plug it elsewhere). If you look at the
average views on stockpickr, there's no incentive for me to pump myself here.
But I really focus on keeping people in the game. I am not a "stock picker"
(though we certainly do track and trade stocks). I focus on risk management,
which is something that a guy like him would benefit from.
Alternatively, he should just let someone else trade his money so that he can
enjoy the good life!
