Bombardier's Flexje...
What's your take on the executive changes at Bank of America (Thain resigns) and
Citigroup (Parsons promoted to Chair)?

Don't be fooled that Thain "resigned". Ken Lewis did not fly to New York to get
a resignation letter.
Remember David Coulter and his "resignation" after NationsBank gobbled legacy
Bank of America? Coulter took the fall for a massive hedge fund loss. And got
paid pretty handsomely to "resign".
Parsons is one of the most skilled infighters around. He seizes confusion to
profit himself. This is what he did at AOL Time Warner. Very skillful at
ousting Case. Parsons has no vision himself for running a company. He is
however good at enriching himself the way he did at dime when he made a pretty
bundle demutualizing it.
If he remains as chairman and can recruit a visionary to run the bank and just
stays there as an elder statesman smoother out of conflicts (even if he feeds
heavily at the trough) he will not be the worst.
But really he is a dull plodding lawyer who is a skilled infighter and not a
good leader. The company needs much more.
i don't think anyone wants this job ,for c or bac ,thain just got in and now he'
's leaving!...it looks too me like no one can run these banks properly
