Lets just face it the majority of the house both dem. and rep. are morons.
Politics is way more important than the nations economy. I just don't know why
we couldn't assemble the most respected financial experts to come up with a
solution that would be in the best interest of everyone in the country. Explain
it to the country if possible so even the people on the Leno show that couldn't
find the US on a world map could understand it. Have a straight up or down vote
so everyone will know who screwed them after they loose most of what they have
worked for and may still need to eat. I guarantee those who we put in office
want skip a beat. Both parties that put politics first should be voted out of
office. Nancy Pelosi sounds like a pet Parrot saying over and over everthing
Bush's fault.

Since Bill and Barack got elected because of their silver tongues maybe they
could have presented what Paulson and Bernanke had to say better. Doesn't take a
lot of intelligence to be a great speaker.
thought you wanted america to believe the horse manure the are passing along not
give it to bigger horses.
Maybe Hank and Ben should have wrote down what they wanted said and let someone
like Obama or Bill Clinton present it in words the house could understand.
Actually blame it on the thousands of Whining Americans who barley pay taxes
that are protesting that evil greedy wall St will make their taxes go up......
I am all for the market moving forward and getting out of this rut but in a way
I wish these ignorant people could get a real hard financial lesson when their
company lays them off and the boss says sorry I can't get credit to pay your
salary and are company is at $0...
As far as I'm concerned, this one isn't necessarily partisan politics.
1) Everything I read points to the fact that most Congress members are swamped
with calls from constituents, the vast majority of which are AGAINST the
bailout. If we want representative government, don't we want our Congress to
listen to what we want?
2) The idea that what Pelosi said had a big bearing on what happened is garbage,
IMO. You want somebody to pin this on, it's on Ben and Hank. The idea that
they would go in front of Congress and be absolutely unable to explain
coherently what they wanted and how they want to do it is what forced Congress
to sit down and think about this. If Bernanke and Paulson had gone to the Hill,
explained things confidently and concisely, this bill would have been done
Friday. I know what's in the bailout and what they said in the hearings didn't
satisfy me that they had it under control.
3) Hank Paulson actually going in front of Congress and stating that they hadn't
really done any analysis of what this could cost the taxpayer is *shameful*.
That shot my eyebrows up, and I really think that was a big reason that Congress
felt it had to stop and mull this over.
Just my $0.02. I think we need this bailout, but we need a solid plan first.
Otherwise, this is just a financial Iraq, and we're just going to go look for
the financial WMDs. Maybe we'll find some this time around....

FULL OF IDIOTOCROCY. Oh is that not a word? My point is mad!
