Open Question
If this govt. takeover happens, they said FNM anf FRE shareholders will be wiped
out to Zero. How will this effect all the other finanicals ? (everyone says the
others will go up ?) - your thoughts ...

socialized GSEs---it's been widely expected for several weeks now. So we could
see a "sell the rumor/buy the fact" inflection when it actually
happens. But other financial stocks, less likely to be bought out/socialized by
the govt are much less likely to go all the way down to zero.

I think financials will probably rally and then plunge again. Barrons did an
article in this weeks Journal about how credit cards are the next credit crunch
on the way.
