I was reading Cramer's recap on Allscripts. Can someone explain how the
Medicare bill requires electronic prescriptions -- Medicare doesn't take care of
prescriptions. You have to buy separate insurance for that. ??

for it when your eligible for medicare (65)

The movement for EScripts is national; to mandate electronic prescriptions. The
bill (S. 2405).
The plan is to offer incentives for those physicians who chose to use electronic
prescriptions and then at a later date begin
to incur penalties to those who do not. A bill has been passed in Minnesota that
mandates E-Filing/Prescribing by
01/01/2011.
