Just make $. Its not the end of the world. Even though I like one of them &
not the other.

Now if we could just find a way to lock them in a room and FORCE them to
compromise and get something done.

Maybe send them all to summer camp at Gitmo (?)

sadly, gridlock is best, I agree with that

I'm not saying that at all. Clinton wasn't a "bad" president. I just favor
divided government.

Democratic majority - Republican President
Republican majority - Democratic President

It just seems to work out better most of the time...

Unlike you, I'm not touting one party over another. But recent history shows
that "Democrat President means lower stock prices" is a disingenuous statement.

That the market tends to like divided government?

Hence: McCain in '08! :p

yes, there was a tech bubble during Clinton's administration. Just as there was
a real estate bubble during Bush's. My point is: find the correlation between
political party and market direction. What do you find?

Don't forget we had a nice little tech bubble during the Clinton years...

I guess you could look at some past Democrat Presidents and see what the market
did. Take Clinton for instance, how did the market perform during his 8 years?
The SP500 more than doubled. And how did the SP500 perform during George Bush's
reign? It's not a positive return

I like it. I like it.

Maybe, but we could make money with the ultrashort S&P.
