Open Question

To begin with your resources are BS. I'd rather pay 10.00 gal. than be beholden
to foreign oil. If we half as much energy reserves as the gov. has lies about
our reserves then we have plenty that could lower prices and bridge the gap
untill we can tranfer a lot of demand to alternative energy.

I am inclined to split the difference. I think that we need to open the costal
areas to carefully regulated drilling. However, I would not trust the same
people who authorized such intensive/irresponsible land drilling out west that
they have sparked a rebellion of life-long republicans who value nature.

Also did you catch the deference that Cramer gave to Senator Hutchings for being
against ethanol subsidies. What do you expect from a Senator from a major oil
state like Texas? While ethanol subsidies are a scam, we do need to subsidize
alternative energy, not just give the oil companies whatever they ask for.

deep water drilling....the oceans horizon is 20 miles....drill out past that
point and no one on the beach would even see anything.

we will be paying $10/gallon if the dems get in? I am politically non-aligned,
but what do we have now: a Republican administration that has created the
largest deficit in history, involved the US in a quagmire Vietnam type war,
failed to provide regulatory oversight of banks, ignored the credit crisis,
ignored the escalation of entitlement costs, ignored the plunge in the dollar,
ignored the inflation in fuel and food costs .. I dont know when to stop here,
but obviously what we have now is the worst administration since 1929. How
anyone can be worried about the Dems taking over the White House is beyond me.

And this argument that the "Dems won't allow drilling" is specious.
Republican Jeb Bush (former governor of Florida) was instrumental in blocking
off shore drilling. It is California's Arnold the Terminator (a Republican
governor) who opposes off shore drilling.

This issue was revived by John McCain last week and Cramer is simply lining up
behind him. McCain also got Charlie Crist (Republican governor of Florida) to
switch positions; and he now endorses off shore drilling.

If Obama wins and the Dems get a veto proof majority in the Senate, you will be
paying $10/gallon. The worst part will be that there won't be any more oil on
the way as they won't allow more drilling in the U.S. But we will being sueing
OPEC, so we have that going for us, which is nice. Either these guys have
absolutely no clue about how markets work, or they want a weakened nation. I
will give them the benefit of the doubt and say they are clueless, just like the
Republicans for the most part. Where is the leadership in this country? Aren't
there any Truman's or Reagan's left in American politics?

people can debate about drilling oil here and weather or not it will make an
impact in prices and all the pros and cons....ect ..but lets be realistic,we all
know even if congress says yes too drilling it will take years of debate and and
back and forth meetings votes vetos and all that other crap, as that is how this
country works..it sure as hell wouldent happen tomorrow...we waste so much time
and money in this country its crazy. u and i don't realy matter unless u r very
rich or powerful.
