Open Question
America and all of the west have become simply too soft to ever consider
something like invading a country to take their oil. I don't see why we don't
do it...we spend more than almost all of the world combined on our military and
really get little for it...all we get is a fat tax bill and now a fat energy
bill...bullshit.
What is wrong with conquest? How come the strong don't prosper and the weak
perish anymore...we are the strongest country and we should use our
strength...instead we bow at the throne of the king of Saudi Arabia to beg for
oil, a nation we could conquer in about three days. America, Europeans, and the
West have simply become soft. We are the weak ones now, not because we do not
have the power, but because we choose not to use it and choose to be weak.
It is absolutely pathetic and obviously does not bode well for the future of our
civilization.
And you know who I blame...the liberals...they have pussified the nation. Their
liberal, white, multi-cultural guilt have destroyed Europe, crippled America,
and is causing Western Civilization to commit suicide. We no longer teach our
children about the greatness of Europeans and Americans...how they controlled
the entire world, spread their culture and values, and achieved levels of
wealth, science, technology, and greatness unseen before in the world. This is
not to diminish the accomplishments, contributions, and achievements of other
cultures, but let's give credit where credit is due. Instead, we teach our kids
that America was mean to the Indians, mean to Africans, mean to Mexicans, and
were basically scumbags in building the greatest nation this earth has ever been
home to. So basically, these liberals can sit comfortably in the society,
wealth and culture of freedom built on by the blood, sweat, toil and tear of the
exact people they now so readily denigrate and denounce...PATHETIC!
Unless this liberal mindset described above is eliminated, or at least
marginalized, from society, instead of being prominent, if not dominant (look at
the academia and media that indoctrinate our children and future generations
with this garbage), we will fade into the night, knowing that we brought upon
our own demise.

We do not march in and take oil from countries by invading them because it is
morally wrong to take human in any religion. If we need something, we do not
have to take it like barbarians. We can ask God for the wisdom to develop
something that will help us.

i just firgured since everyone else on the pickr voiced their opinion i figured
i had to add. I just personally think we are all creative thinkers in our own
way, and im not shocked but slightly suprised by the knowledge many of us pickrs
carry on this site.
We take 1 issue, one problem, and we turn it into a whole political economical
debate that lasts hours. 1 word OIL. I suggest everyone read the confessions of
an economic hitman. It describes our dependency on foreign oil.
We as Americans are not weak in the least bit. In fact we show our strength not
by the millions we spend but the way in which we carry ourselves as great
nationalists who love our country.
As many posted prior this freedom is not to be overlooked. It took hundreds of
years to overcome disfunctionality on many levels in this country but we have
gotten most of is resolved.
Our dependence on foreign oil maybe have led to some uncertain cercumstances in
the past 20 years, but i believe over the next 20 years, their is many
innovations to come, starting right here in america. Why do you think
billionaire tycoons like BP is spending billions on wind power. They want it
more than anyone else to lose our dependency. And with time our technology will
surpass those oil enriched nations and become an even greater superpower nation.
Forget china, you can only keep expanding so much without cooling off, and
correcting.
Im proud to be an american and proud that my freedom here in this country has
allowed me to use education as my sence of power. Not fighting like many
"spartan" nations do in this world today.

W/ this post am I to believe you believe in free market capitalism? I cannot
believe that because to do this we should close our borders and charge
monsterous tarrifs on imports and also punish any company that moves overseas.
That would be the safe bet, if your going to threaten war on anyone w/ a
different opinion. You better lock the doors as many will be out to get ya! Not
to mention attack all western targets overseas, McDonalds, etc,etc,etc. There
will be none of this overseas than ever b4. Look at Iraq and Afganistan and you
seriously think we could do it to another country? That Iraq oil is paying huge
dividends, NOT! We could never take it over and make it safe enough to get the
oil. Next I want you on the front lines there tough guy. Besides who is going to
pay for it? How about you?

I just woke up and enjoyed reading the responses to this query...most of them
were very interesting and many of the points were valid...
I was a little shocked by the need to call names and make sarcastic
remarks...but that probably just points to either the weakness of some poster's
arguments or their intense liberal bias (which they have every right to hold).
and for all the people who brought up hitler...give me a break. Nothing in my
post in any way advocated actions anywhere close to what that nutbar
did...comparing one to hitler is just a ploy used by people to silence debate
and demonize...just more unnecessary name calling
But I do enjoy the debate, as long as it was clean. Many of the responses, in
my opinion, simply validated my thesis...
As we fade slowly into the night, I see many will be content that we gave
everything Western Civ gained through centuries of blood, toil, sweat and tears
away...
I on the other hand look at it with disgust...that the tragedy is right before
our very eyes...and yet we do nothing...it is not the Death of the West...but
the suicide...
