I wish George Orwell was alive to see what Sir Rupert is doing! When you step
back and look at the media in the world today...to say it is reminiscent of
Orwell or Orwellian is a gross understatement.

I know you feel it is an travesty that the XM/SIRIS deal is getting
resistance.
I have been opposed to it myself. I just cant get past the information control
aspect of it,
in today's modern world. And certainly in the
future. Information and it's control to us in content is the true power (next
to
oil) in this world. Who gives you that info is the issues. Rupert Murdoch has
almost 80% of the satellites that control Europe. Very
dangerous. Some say he he could swing an election with his media control. Him
and Sir Richard Branson are in battle over that very issue.

I am discomforted by the fact that say a Sir Rupert Murdoch controls 3/4 of all
the world communications.

I must disagree that satellite transmission will not be the only game in town
someday....Crazy to think otherwise!

We just saw the "Bunny ears" antenna go the way of the 8 track tape with the
forced HDTV laws. And lets face it cramer....no one can watch TV without a
cable
provider...mmmmmm
