I live in new york, I'm a fan of spitzer, especially when he said 'Ayn Rand is
wrong' on Madmoney the other night

Zack..i live in new york state. mr. spitzer has been a big disappointment to us.
I voted for him because i wanted change. Boy did we get change. His favorable
polls are in the teens..he has been a nightmare..a disaster..currently is
raising taxes on us..like we need more taxes.
He does present himself very well. His own party,legistators, motor vehicles,
county officials..all of them went against him recently when he decided to give
illegal aliens a motor vehicle license...it cause such a problem that county
officials publicly stated they would not go alone with the law..he eventually
backed off..
The other poster who communicated this situation with sen. bruno is just one of
many missteps this gov. has done. What a disappointment

I almost never watch TV at night (too many conflicts) but I do agree with
Ambrose Bierce who wrote: "Politics: A strife of interest masquerading as a
contest of principles."

ALBANY, July 23 — Gov. Eliot Spitzer indefinitely suspended his communications
director and reassigned another top official today after Attorney General Andrew
M. Cuomo’s office issued a scathing report accusing the governor’s staff of
using the State Police for political purposes.

The report was a devastating blow to a governor who had promised to bring a new
dawn of ethical responsibility to state politics and validated growing outrage
among state Republicans about Mr. Spitzer’s politicization of the governor’s
office.

The report said that the governor’s staff ordered the State Police to keep
special records of Senate majority leader Joseph L. Bruno’s whereabouts when
he traveled with police escorts in New York City and to recreate records if they
did not exist. The report said that the acting superintendent of police, Preston
Felton, took an unprecedented role in assisting requests from the governor’s
staff and the media for information related to the Senator’s whereabouts.
