Jim--James, Ackman & Lampert?

Can Ackman's activism get Eddie to start closing and selling stores? I find it
hard to believe that Eddie wouldn't already have considered this route and the
sudden entrance of Ackman into the mix might be contentious in the sense that
Eddie wouldn't want to appear like he's bowing to Ackman's wishes. I see this as
a negative for the stock, not a positive, since Lampert's long-term strategy
rarely jives with activists short-term desires.
