retired - have managed my own portfolio for 40 years - i am an investor not a trader - pick companies with a demonstrated history of sound management in businesses with a long term future - enter at a resonable price - sell quickly if it looses 12-15% out of the box - more tolerance when sitting on gains - if it gets overvalued but is still a good business - trim the position
