I'm a 63- year- old granny setting up a portfolio to send my granddaughter to college. I've played stock-picking games for about 10 years, and I fancy myself not too bad at it. My son, father of said baby, is a lifelong computer geek and has often steered me toward good prospects by way of his experience dealing with various tech companies. In other sectors I simply study until I'm nearly blind, then pick the one that makes the most sense to me. I became aware of the Cramer phenomenon as a direct result of entering the Million Dollar Challenge on CNBC and checking the recommendations on this site.
I'm currently invested, IRL, in big and small tech, a little biopharm, and a respectable amount of basic materials. This is probably risky, but my projected time frame is necessarily fairly short.
I won't post a picture; nobody needs to look at an old lady's mug!
