Rick Freedman is an author, journalist, consultant, and trainer. His books “The IT Consultant”, “The eConsultant”, and “Building the IT Consulting Practice” have reached a worldwide audience. Rick’s book “The IT Consultant” has been selected as a primary textbook by such institutions as Villanova University, the University of Texas, Concordia College of Minnesota, The Polytechnic University of Hong Kong, and the National University of Singapore, and was featured as no.2 on Amazon.com’s “Wish List for Consultants”. Rick writes the “Consultant Master Class” column for TechRepublic.com, and the “Perfecting your Practice” column for Microsoft’s web site. He teaches IT project management, IT consulting, and information technology courses at the college level at various institutions in the U.S.

Rick has over twenty years senior-level experience in the IT field, at organizations such as Citicorp, Dun & Bradstreet, and Cap Gemini. Founder and CEO of Consulting Strategies, Inc., in the last year Rick has trained and consulted for global IT firms across the U.S. and in the U.K., Germany, India, Japan, and China.
