Im a 26 year old grocery retail upper manager in the midwest. My comapany is privately traded among the "employee owners" (hint hint). They allow us to invest all of our 401K benefits in the stock market with exception of the money they put in our own stock fund. I started my 401K when I was 19 and started investing when I was 21. I've made bad bad bad choices ( IMAX, SURE, DPH etc.) Now, having graduated from college a little wiser I have learned to think in more of an aggregate rational way.
