I am a newbie investor with no market experience and no business classes under my belt. My college major was Classics and I completed the work for a second major in English lit. I was planning to be an English professor but a brain injury cut my career short. I do not work outside the home. I wanted very badly to learn how to make money in the stock market, and I have Jim Cramer to thank for his wonderful books which makes it understandable.
My special interests are biotech stocks. My worst stock pick ever was JetBlue and my best stock pick ever was Arcelor Mittal. I had better luck with Petrohawk Chemical but it was recommended to me by a friend so I cannot call it my own pick.
I do not "trade" with options but have a strong desire to learn how to do that. I learn very slowly, at a snail's pace, and the more I learn, the more I learn that I don't know.
I am married and I also love art. My picture is a silk scarf of a Bernard Buffett painting. I love art and I love silk scarves. I found this scarf for $5 at a thrift store and it is worth $365 and quite rare. I hope to find stockpicks that are equal gems by buying what I like and what I know.
My favorite quote is: "Do the best you can with what you've got where you are."~Franklin Roosevelt
