Mr. Powell’s background is unique in its diversity. In addition to his success in the private sector, Mr. Powell has remained interested in and active in activities that leveraged his academic credentials, including a BA in Political Science and an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago and culminating in a PhD in Political and Economic Theory from Boston University.
He has applied his expertise in business, security and intelligence as an analyst, consultant, and author, generating more than 40 articles on finance, economics, management and trade for publications in the US, Europe, and Japan while working with the Hoover Institute of Stanford University. He also has provided research and prepared testimony on President nominees for two US Senate Committees.
