I started investing in May, 2006, with encouragement from an experienced friend. I am retired. I will seek a brokerage to recommend all investments except stocks, stock mutual funds and ETFs. In my working life I was a state park and a metropark naturalist. My friend is an aggressive investor, and I am a cautious one (greed and fear.) So we work well together. I pull her back, she pushes me forward. I'm 57 yrs. old, female. I also invest small $ for my 76-yr. old roommate.
