Started investing in mutual funds 20 years ago. Got tired of fees and sub-par performance so I started to buy stocks instead. I rely on one Newsletter (The Successful Investor) for my large-cap Canadian companies. I'm a fan of Jim Cramer's and check out many of his recommendations. His ideas and books have really helped my portfolio. I am Canadian, starting to invest more and more in the US and abroad. Retirement portfolio is not required for another 15 to 20 years.
