Started looking into stocks & funds in 2002 for investing an inheritance. Already had an IRA and bet myself I could do better on my own. My IRA has brought back a pathetic 8% return since 2002. Thru the 3 funds and the many stocks I own thru sharebuilder, I've maintained an average return of around 35%.
I'm only in it for the long term. If a stock doesn't have any dividend, I'm not interested.
