Underperform - Price 4.43 on March 17
by Baird Securities

Lowering to Underperform; target: 1. XRM expects to be in noncompliance with debt covenant(s) in 1Q, which could lead to a materially dilutive equity raise or bankruptcy filing -- absent debt-covenant restructuring. This paper-making and machine-consumables manufacturer with high margins and strong free cash flow is constrained by high financial leverage and high dividend payments, [and has] primary exposure to deteriorating and slower-growth paper manufacturing geographies. Near-term catalysts...[include] benefits from increased financial flexibility...improvement in Ebit [earnings before interest and taxes], and successful Asia expansion... Demand for Xerium products depends on global paper production, historically a slow-growth but relatively stable industry. Global paper production has declined in only three of the past 26 years...Market-cap: $200 million.
