I like the product it makes

David Einhorn bought stakes in Pfizer (PFE), Wyeth (WYE), Jones Apparel (JNY), Hess (HES) and Discover (DFS). He raised stakes in SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) and EMC (EMC). His largest holdings are GLD, EMC, URS Corp (URS) and MEMC Elec (WFR).

Silicon Wafer Mfg exposure

From a recent Mad Money show: "If this bounces, you have to sell it. I'm reiterating that I still don't like this stock."

The green basket included such stocks as First Solar (FSLR), Foster Wheeler (FWLT), Shaw Group (SGR), MEMC Technologies (WFR), BorgWarner (BWA), TetraTech (TTEK), OM Group (OMG) and Fuel-Tech (FTEK).

On the solar side, he owns MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR), a St. Peters, Missouri-based maker of silicon wafers used in computers, consumer electronics, defense systems and the components used in solar cells. After falling 80% this year, its shares look cheap, trading at 4.2 times estimated adjusted earnings for 2009.

Lehman analyst Vishal Shah has a contrarian take on MEMC; he thinks the shares are already discounting a big drop in poly pricing.
