Wabco (WBC) Will Be Able To Offset Domestic Weakness In Truck-bulding

Wabco is American Standard's Spin off which started trading last week on the NYSE under the ticker WBC. Wabco is a provider of braking, stability, suspension and transmission control systems.

Wabco is a derivative trade on the European truck build and the need for their transmission and brake products. European truck building is offsetting the domestic slowdown associated with new diesel emission standards. Only 11% of their sales are from the U.S, whereas Europe represents 75%, and Asia represents 8% of sales. In Q2, sales growth (13.9%) and net income growth (12.8%) accelerated substantially. With sustained sales growth, earnings growth will continue to remain steady because of post sales of parts and maintenance services.

In addition the company agreed to buyback $500 million of stock through 2009.
