From a recent Mad Money show: "Yes! When you buy Wachovia, you also get Wells Fargo (WFC). You've got a winner there and I want to buy more."

Bank of America (BAC) looks dirt-cheap, and Citigroup (C) has to be the cheapest of all. But I thought Wachovia (WB) was cheap, and others thought Washington Mutual looked really cheap.

The Wells Fargo (WFC) deal is a good one. And I am glad to be in agreement with my friend Doug Kass on this one. I am buying it through Wachovia (WB).

I apologize in advance for the sarcasm, but does Cramer plan on holding up a Wachovia T-Shirt tonight with a -100% instead of the +60% (or whatever it was) last week?

Post CEO interview, I felt relatively comfortable about the management of WB, but I wanted to feel more comfortable about the completion of the bill. When I felt pretty good Fri that the bill would be complete by Mon, I bought WB. Thanks--that worked out great.

So what Cramer's saying now is that if the bill passed last Tues, WB lives and if it waits 4 business days, it's dead? Stop pushing crap like this on viewers who listen. If it's that close, please waive a red flag in the background as you're talking to Mr Steel.

Check out the following link to the 2006 Wachovia investor presentation regarding the Golden West acquisition. Slide 9 is great - "Low risk $121 billion consumer loan portfolio"
