From Barron's 7-30-07:

Buy - Price 84 on July 24
by Garp Research & Securities
"Teleflex agreed to purchase Arrow [maker of disposable medical supplies] in an all-cash transaction totaling $2 billion/$45.50 a share...a 20% premium. Deal close expected by end of 4Q07...The medical segment should produce $1.4 billion of revenue, or over 45% of corporate total. This is up from 35% right now and 23% just seven years ago.

Profitability from medical division is nearly twice that of the aerospace business...Teleflex has shown proficiency in growing through bolt-on acquisitions...[M]anagement expects...[up to] $75 million of cost savings by 2010. We think this should contribute to nearly $8 of EPS by that year."
