Cramer said his thesis was once again proven by today's announcement that networking giant Cisco (CSCO), which he also owns for his Action Alerts PLUS portfolio, is buying Starent Networks (STAR), whose technology is at the heart of the mobile Internet for a 20% premium. How strong are the mobile Internet stocks? He said both stocks rose on the news. |

I've been a bull on the sector, mostly being behind Skyworks Solutions (SWKS), Qualcomm, Research In Motion (RIMM), Apple (iPhone) and a bunch of little guys like ON Semiconductor (ONNN) and Starent (STAR), but even I am taken aback by how strong this rally is |

As the product cycle revs up, it carries with it all the companies that make parts for the iPhone or BlackBerry or Pre, firms like Starent Networks (STAR), Skyworks Solutions (SWKS), Texas Insturments (TXN), RF Micro Devices (RFMD), Sandisk (SNDK) and the other chipmakers. |

I know that I have stressed the need to own Tekelec (TKLC) and On Semiconductor (ONNN) and Starent (STAR) and Skyworks (SWKS) plus Ciena (CIEN) on this trend. I know this group has acted so badly as to take your breath away. It is almost as if there is one seller who keeps hitting the darned thing. The seller seems to have vanished today. |

(Shanghai continues to ramp, reaching high levels not seen since August. China is not only alive and well, it is getting hotter. Apple (AAPL) works there, with the iPhone coming, and so does Starent (STAR), as STAR is moving aggressively into the Chinese cell-phone business.) |
