Legatum withheld votes for Sonus' nominees after Sonus rebuffed its request to add two officers to the seven-member board and to make various corporate-governance changes. Legatum said that it's "not going away any- time soon," and will take action to "help move the company in the direction that will increase transparency, board accountability and best serve the interests of all shareholders." Legatum holds 67,295,079 shares (24.8%).

Senate Limited suggested that the company implement certain corporate-governance reforms, expand the size of its board to add independent directors and grant Senate the right to appoint two members, pursue a potential strategic acquisition that Senate believes would be accretive to earnings and buy back a portion of its common stock. Senate also said that it would withhold its vote for Sonus' nominees for election to the company's board at the annual meeting, which was held Friday.

I am a stockholder and former employee. I've watched this stock go nowhere for years. It's clearly time for a senior management shakeout. Sonus (specifically Hassan Ahmed) has haughtily ignored its owners for far too long.
