Adami thinks Six Flags (SIX) could win as consumers turn towards cheaper entertainment that is closer to home. |

The amusement-park operator is in an even bigger bind than Revlon after a tough 2007, when attendance was weak and estimated pretax cash flow of $190 million wasn't enough to cover its interest costs of $200 million. That's a bad situation for equity holders, considering the company spends $100 million annually on capital expenditures to maintain existing rides and build new ones to keep patrons coming back. New roller coasters are expensive. Six Flags also is hostage to the weather during the critical summer season. Even assuming a better 2008, the company probably will still burn cash, while debt and preferred stock is equal to a stiff 10 times annual cash flow. Six Flags stock, now trading around 2, looks like an out-of-the-money option on the company's revival. Reflecting the risks, Six Flags debt yields over 20% |

That one is a dog and will never come back. Yes...the stock would be a tremendous value here at $6 due to the value of their real estate well exceeding the market cap of about 580 million but the problem lies with the 2.2 Billion of debt that isn't going away anytime soon which basically renders the stock worthless at this time. He should have been hitting the Don't Buy Button! |
