Smith International (SII) was downgraded from Outperform to Perform, Oppenheimer said. Valuation call, despite strong results and a positive near-term outlook.

Smith International (SII) was upgraded from Neutral to Overweight, JP Morgan said. Company has an attractive relative risk/reward outlook, given its exposure to a recovering North American natural gas drilling business.

Same with the big oil momentum stocks like Core Labs (CLB) and Transocean (RIG). Schlumberger (SLB). Smith International (SII). And of course the coals.

Smith International (SII) was downgraded to Neutral rating from Buy at UBS. Price target cut to $67 from $72 while FY08 eps estimates hold $3.75.
