We believe that ROLL will continue to outperform other industrial stocks due to its unique business strategy. In our view, ROLL [which provides industrial, aerospace, and defense customers with design solutions] is unlike other industrial manufacturers because of high barriers to entry for the company's product niche...We believe that there is more upside to ROLL's stock short term due to sales and EPS leverage to end aerospace super-cycle, defense, oil & gas, machinery and construction equipment...Shares of ROLL have done very well over the last year, with the stock up 75% in 2006 and 27% in 2007 year-to-date. The strength in the aerospace/defense cycle should result in sales and EPS growth. Specifically, ROLL's aerospace sales should benefit from a new Boeing supply contract...Defense sales should continue to expand due to transportation-related military spending and new products. Increasing our 2008 (March 2008) EPS estimates to $1.85 from our previous estimate of $1.80; increasing our 2009 EPS estimate to $2.25 from $2.20. Our 47 price target equates to a P/E of 20.9 times our FY09 EPS estimate.

Ball bearings are a much better business than the investor public will ever believe, and I like keeping tabs on a stock that is likely to end up being given away periodically
