ROCK [which manufactures, processes and distributes residential and commercial building products and processed-metal products for industrial applications] lowered its 4Q07 EPS forecast to a loss of 2 cents to 5 cents, down from its previous forecast of EPS of 12 cents to 16 cents. Most of the cut reflects softer operating conditions in [its] U.S. housing and automotive end-markets...[and] includes a higher-than-forecast tax rate...Our 14 target (down from 15) is based on a 12 times price/earnings multiple applied to our 2008 EPS estimate, in line with average forward P/E multiples accorded ROCK since 1995. Market-cap: $381 million.
