Increased dividend to $0.10 from $0.05 for shareholders of record on December 24.

Polo Ralph Lauren's quarterly common dividend galloped to 10 cents a share last Wednesday from the nickel the company had been paying since 2003. Investors of record Dec. 24 will receive the new quarterly Jan. 8. The ex-dividend date is Dec. 22. In addition, directors authorized $225 million more for stock repurchases. That's atop $206 million remaining in the previous buyback plan. "The increases in our dividend and share-repurchase authorization indicate the confidence our board has in our underlying performance and our future prospects," declared president Roger N. Farah.

On Sept. 29's "Stop Trading!", Cramer said Ralph Lauren "has been a monster stock since the bottom ... and I believe it will continue to be a monster stock." He called CEO Ralph Lauren "the real deal" and said he never understood why the stock was down in the $60s.

We saw a big move in retail and retail-related, stocks like VF Corp. (VFC) and Ralph Lauren (RL) and Jones Apparel (JNY). Then they got stopped in their tracks and seemed like they would roll back to more reasonable levels. Now they are powering forward.

I look at retail, and I simply don't believe that everyone is going under. You could put together a powerhouse merchant/apparel company here if you are Polo Ralph Lauren (RL) or Coach (COH) or VF Corp. (VFC). You can just go pick as you please!
