MFS' flagship, Massachusetts Investors Trust (MITTX), lost 32.8% last year and was down 2.17% year-to-date through Wednesday. The fund, founded in 1924, is the oldest mutual fund in the U.S. and celebrates its 85th birthday on March 21. It was designed to give access to Mom-and-Pop investors who were mostly shut out of the market. |
