That's bullish for my two faves in a hated industry: KB Home (KBH) and Toll Brothers (TOL), the two best houses in a real crummy neighborhood.

2. Toll Bothers (TOL) is up. I know that doesn't matter much, but if we could get a tiering where people dislike Lennar (LEN) and like Ryland (RYL), Toll and KB Home (KBH) -- which makes sense -- and keeps taking up Standard Pacific (SPF) now that it has its financing, then you have a potential HGX trade.

Housing is really tanking. The NAR figures don't even come close to what is going on. One percentage increase or decrease in rates is not going to make a difference. The real key is the affordability. The same house which could be bought with a 1500/month payment a few years back is currently costing 4000/month. If the payment drops to 3900--what difference is it going to anyone?
