Last year they bought the Trane HVAC business, explains Karen Finerman. In other words, at the worst possible time, they transformed their company into a firm that is dependent on commercial construction. It's no surprise that since the acquistion they've been suffering. However, they’ve recently been able to refinance their debt and it looks like the construction market is starting to come back. As a result I have the stock on my radar but I’m not be a buyer yet, she says.

In a post last week to his RealMoney blog, Cramer wrote: "How come people aren't taking profits in Caterpillar after this historic run? Or Ingersoll-Rand (IR)? Why didn't people slaughter the natural gas stocks when natural gas failed to break out? How could Chesapeake (CHK) be up so much?"

This heavy equipment company is plowing headfirst into the emerging markets -- the only place where manufacturers are expecting double digit growth right now.

Buy - Price 27.48 on July 28
by Sterne Agee & Leach

[Second-quarter '09 EPS came in] at the high end of guidance....Reported 2Q09 EPS from continuing operations of 41 cents was above First Call's consensus 39 cents.... Gross productivity of 5.6% [was] driven by better-than-projected cost control, restructuring benefits and Trane Synergies.... Cash generation was excellent, enabling IR to reduce debt....Orders declined 23%....[Our] near-term target goes up 29, but shares could double over two to three years....We have raised our 2010 EPS to $2, from $1.80. Market cap: $7.7 billion.

From a recent Mad Money show: "No, no. The quarter's going to be bad. I think they're going to have a disappointing quarter and you're going to be able to buy it lower."

when that stopped working. been learning
ta since. rate of return depends on when
you want to start counting. sure isn't
anywhere near 72%/yr. i'm a individual
investor. i use etf's probably in 15% of
my trades, most of the time for 1 to 10
days. if you don't know ta yet, i urge
you to take the time to learn it.
there's a lot of it to learn, but it
