InterOil reported a 4Q07 net loss of $2.7 million/a 9-cent loss per diluted share, [versus] our estimate of a loss of 23 cents. This was easily InterOil's smallest quarterly loss in the past two years, and the full-year 2007 loss of $1.10 per share (on an operating basis) narrowed considerably from $1.48 a share [loss] in 2006. Despite volatility in global-refining margins, especially the Singapore market, the refinery delivered record Ebitda of $9.6 million in 4Q07, reflecting reduced fuel and operating costs, along with improved export margins....Our 65 target is based on our conservatively risked [net-asset-value] estimate of 64.40. Market cap: $516 million.

Float is 20 million, 6million short. Recently had first ever major find of LNG at their site in the south pacific, which is believed to be on top of a huge crude oil deposit. If they find oil, they will become a huge buyout target, which is probably why IOC just announced a shareholder protection plan to be voted on at their annual meeting on June 25, 2007. Heavy Call Options were bought and become due on June 15th for the $25, $30 and $35 strike prices, with the stock already over $42 and climbing. It's possible that oil has already been discovered and they are waiting to announce it until the shareholders meeting, which they have also announced is to be in tandem with a Special Shareholders Meeting on the same day...could be a mega-announcement. If they discover oil, the cash-full major oil companys will start a bidding war for IOC by the end of this month.

Kelly had a dream about 5 months ago listing this stock at a 57.00 target. He had a second dream 1 month ago with a target of 62.00 we believe the price difference is the option price in the second dream. We are currently buying June 30 (for Fast Money), July 35 and Sept 35.

The global market for liquefied natural gas is expected to more than double in the next five years due to rapid growth in Asian demand. A speculative play is IOC, a small firm with nine million acres under license in Papua, New Guinea, site of a potentially significant natural gas find.
