Why I Love This Stock |

Cramer said Intel (INTC), the world's largest semiconductor company, with a 3.3% yield, is one name that fits the bill. |

Finally, given that there is no correlation whatsoever between oil and tech, it is a natural to consider and eBay (EBAY) or an Intel (INTC) and others of their ilk. |

As we learn more and more about Dubai, I think we are figuring out the absurdity of Intel (INTC) trading at $18 off this news and Procter (PG), Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) and Coke (KO) selling off. |

It also means that there will be a bid under stocks as diverse as Intel (INTC) and McDonald's (MCD) or Kimberly Clark (KMB), which yield around 3% (give or take some small amount) and are a terrific alternative to a piece of 7-year Treasury paper that yields about 2.8% and is much worse after tax. |

Sales bounce up and down over the years but eventually get higher through each cycle, as do profits, and dividends have grown an average 28% annually since 2004, the previous cyclical drop. Intel stock yields about 3.3%; this year marks the first time the yield has topped 3%. The company recently again raised its dividend, and there is probably more of that to come. Donna Renaud, the lead portfolio manager of the Northern Large Cap Value Fund (NOLVX), for which Intel is a top holding, notes that it is trading around 13.2 times the 2010 consensus estimate of $1.48 a share, far below its average price/earnings multiple of 22. In the near term, global PC shipments should rise, and Intel has been boosting its gross margin guidance, which bodes well. |

In a display of confidence in its business prospects, Intel enhanced its common dividend by 12.5% last Tuesday. The new quarterly, to be declared officially in the first quarter of 2010, will be 15.75 cents a share, up from the 14 cents the company has paid for seven consecutive quarters. Intel began paying cash dividends in 1992, and has sweetened them 14 times since then, for a total take by investors of some $16.6 billion. Disbursements for this year's first three quarters totaled $2.3 billion, and another $773 million will be added to that sum on Dec. 1, when 2009's final dividend is paid. The world's No. 1 semiconductor-chip maker, Santa Clara, Calif.-based Intel sports one of the highest dividend yields in the technology industry. Its new payout translates into a 3.29% return. |

That means the ability to buy so many companies that are overseas-oriented: Intel (INTC), Microsoft (MSFT), Cisco (CSCO), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), Caterpillar (CAT), 3M (MMM), United Tech (UTX), Boeing (BA), Hewlett-Packard (HPQ), McDonald's (MCD), Alcoa (AA), IBM (IBM), Procter (PG), Coke (KO), Merck (MRK) and Pfizer (PFE), just to give you the Dow stocks that are weighted perfectly for the overseas turn. |
