The stock is flat with last week, despite continued selloff in
the subprime space. I think investors are starting to realize that IMH
is not a subprime lender at all but an alt-A lender, which is a cut
above subprime. Given that subprime paper is now selling at 96 cents
on the dollar, as opposed to the 80 cents on the dollar the media was
hypothesizing it would sell at, IMH is probably in better shape than
people expect.

They made the riskist loans and have an upside balance sheet.

IMH is a liar. It gave the illusion that it cared about stockholders with its high dividend then cut it out without warning.

The dividend. The Alt A loans may be masking as one step up from sub-prime. At the time there was a hell of a lot of insider buying. Probably they got their dollars by making flaky loans. I should have bought them when I sold them, by my wife was squirming.
