Stubbs likes telecom, pharmaceutical and insurance sectors in general. For those who haven't completely soured on equity, the strategist has screened for stocks that offer a dividend yield above 4%; strong cash flow; decent dividend cover; a good balance sheet and a positive earnings picture. Among the names on this list: ENI (ticker: E); Vodafone Group (VOD), France Telecom (FTE); GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and AstraZeneca (AZN).

Q. Anyone buying CVS?
11.12.09 | 11:07 AM Asked by Skee Daddy

A. Was planning on buying it last week
after it tanked below 28.90, but decided
to hold off to see how the stock
performed for a few days after the bad
news. Should have bought; would have had
a one and a half point gain. In spite of
the bad news, financials still look
decent with a 10.7 forward PE and a 38%
earnings increase for the latest
quarter. However, they do carry a
significant amount of debt.
