Barron's: How competitive is the market?

Samberg: It's not that competitive; it's location, location, location. Focus Media has an 80% market share. It has been diversifying into wireless and Internet advertising. It also is the leader in program guides. China has about a $13 billion ad market, versus a $155 billion market in the U.S. But 21 cents of every new advertising dollar is going to China, versus 20 cents to the U.S. As for valuation, there are 128 million shares outstanding. The stock trades in the mid-50s. The Street is at $1.42 a share for '07 earnings and $2 a share for '08. We think the company could do $2.50 this year and $3.25 in 2009. It is growing by 30% a year.

The Olympics only worked for Phelps, other than that China has been a bust in 2008.
