DXP Enterprises, Inc. (DXP) is engaged in the business of distributing maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products, equipment and service to industrial customers. DXP has two segments. The MRO segment provides MRO products, equipment and integrated services, including engineering expertise and logistics capabilities, to industrial customers. The Electrical Contractor segment sells a range of electrical products, such as wire conduit, wiring devices, electrical fittings and boxes, signaling devices, heaters, tools, switch gear, lighting, lamps, tape, lugs, wire nuts, batteries, fans and fuses to electrical contractors. In June 2006, DXP acquired Production Pump and Machine Tech. In October 2006, it acquired Gulf Coast Torch & Regulator, Inc., a full-service distributor of welding supplies. In November 2006, DXP acquired Safety Alliance, which provides safety and environmental consulting and training services, as well as engages in safety equipment sales, service and rental.
