But there are plenty of natural gas plays that are ready to explode if this is the case. I am buying Devon (DVN) for Action Alerts PLUS because Devon has a ton of natural gas coming on stream from the Gulf and has a huge Barnett Shale play, among the biggest, with very low costs so it can make money here |

The stocks just don't quit. I don't get it. I would like very much to buy Devon (DVN) because it has new reserves coming on stream, but until I see some sort of bottom in the futures, I can't pull the trigger. |

I do not know how many of these big natural gas companies -- Chesapeake (CPK), Apache (APA), Anadarko (APC), Southwestern Energy (SWN), Cabot Oil & Gas (COG), Ultra Petroleum (UPL), XTO Energy (XTO) and Devon (DVN) -- can make their earnings with natural gas at $3.60/MMBTU and going lower because of the end of the winter heating season. |
