DISH delivered a surprising 241,000 net subscriber gain for the third quarter, with churn improving year-over-year to 1.57%, from 2.02%. We are raising our target to 16.50 from 13.50 [due to] the effects [of] lower churn and customer stabilization. Ignoring possible TiVo fallout, the price target is 18.50. The negative remains a 6.2% increase in per-home [subscriber] costs...with ARPU, or average revenue per user, down 0.4%...Costs were up 4.9% sequentially. We emphasize a matrix that looks at price-target sensitivity to 2012E [estimated] subscriber-base and growth in subscriber costs per home, with the latter most determinative for long-term prospects. 2009 free cash flow is supported by transient working-capital benefits; the 2010E FCF yield is only 7.5%. Market cap: $9 billion.
