Why I Love This Stock

Buy - Price 37.42 on Nov. 3
by Pritchard Capital Partners

CAM manufactures equipment for petroleum production and compression and power systems. CAM reported 3Q 2009 EPS of 58 cents versus our 50-cent estimate and the consensus 53 cents forecast. The stock remains one of our favorites to play the growing subsea market, and given CAM's significant backlog and liquidity position, we believe shares will drive strong returns for investors toward our 50 target. Market cap: $8.2 billion.

I also expect to see oil trade higher through the end of the year, adds Joe Terranova. I wouldn’t be surprised to see oil around $90 by the end of the year. To me the play is oil services names such as National-Oilwell Varco (NOV) and Cameron (CAM).

Or look at Cameron (CAM) and Weatherford (WFT) as oil services plays. I think all those names are more attractive right now than the USO (USO). - Joe Terranova

This stock looks very cheap at 46.50 a share. Noticed that no one has commented for a while, although there was a positive article in Barron's last week. Is there anything about this stock that I'm missing?

Oil-rig maker Cameron International's shares look cheap compared with its peers'. A 30% rise to 65 in the next 12 months is possible, according to a Wall Street analyst. Noted investor Ken Heebner is a big holder.

Cameron International (CAM) was upgraded to Overweight, Morgan Stanley said. Company's growth outlook has never been better, and its focus on smaller projects gives CAM a smaller risk profile. $60 price target.

A. I'm outrageously long and holding some
SH and DOG.
I was long in 2008 but there was a big
difference between then and 2009:
I didn't understand the magnitude of
what was to come.
I was stupid.
I'm less stupid now.
Every now and then Vette asks me how I'm
holding out.
Thanks Vette, I wish you were my
brothere growing up!
