Blackstone group--this was an opportunity I scoured out when it was down at $6.00, before an absolute TIDAL WAVE of cash flowed into the stock. Dividend announced recently, I expect this stock to be a 60-70% return before long.

On the list of banks stocks to consider, Cramer included Citigroup (C), Bank Of America (BAC), US Bancorp (USB), Blackstone Group (BX) and Wells Fargo (WFC).

Think about this basket: Citigroup (C), Bank of America (BAC), General Electric (GE), Hartford (HIG), Blackstone (BX) and Wells Fargo (WFC). This is the Bernanke basket, and it has real resonance, because the amount of money involved is minimal. It is "exciting," if you can forgive my insistence that it should be interesting to make money.

"Options action suggests to me that this private equity firm could start turning during the next quarter," says Pete Najarian. “As credit begins to ease it seems to me Blackstone could be sitting in the sweet spot. They’ve got $25 billion dollars in dry powder out there looking,” he says.

Beaten to death. Its stock performance has been so bad since its IPO and the CEO and the other top executives all receive excellent compensation for 2007. Their compensation seem not to relate to their performance. I dislike companies like this.
