and that it will have big oil demand, which is great for everyone from Schlumberger (SLB) to Transocean (RIG), and tremendous need for copper (Freeport (FCX) and BHP Billiton (BHP - commen)), iron (Vale (VALE)) and coal (Peabody (BTU) and Burlington Northern (BNI), just to name two).

China’s coal imports are up 73% in the first half of the year, says Pete Najarian. I’d play that with Peabody (BTU) which is headquartered here in the US.

There’s another big C on which Obama has trained his sights, and that’s carbon. If a business emits CO2 – think steelmakers, utilities and coal companies – it could be in trouble. The only reason Cramer didn’t recommend selling Arch Coal (ACI), Peabody Energy (BTU) and Massey Energy (MEE) is because Chinese demand is great enough to sustain them, even if Obama gets his cap-and-trade plan, which all but amounts to a carbon tax.

Poor, poor performance. The company should be making hand over fist and has, yet the stock reacts negatively to good news. It is misaligned with the rest of the sector and does not represent the company's growth at all.

A. any forward growth guidance you get from
a company has to be taken with a grain
of salt. dubai was not news 2 days ago,
yesterday it clipped the s n p for 20
points. these are turbulent times and
all forward statements are a guess. 5
year ones are a joke. we've had a really
nice upternd for the last 8 months, that
may be coming to and end or at the very
least its probably gonna get choppy.
you're gonna have to be the judge of the
reliability of any future estimates and
any one stock can have multiple guesses
at theirs.
