Lemonides has placed his bets on depressed pharmaceuticals stocks, and aerospace giant Boeing (BA). He sees the Dow climbing to 12,000 by next June, and predicts it could trade as high as 15,000 in "two or three years."

Q: Barron's: For starters, why are you so high on the Pacific Northwest?

A: Delafield: Many companies in the Pacific Northwest are undercovered and underserved by both Wall Street and the institutional-investment community. Of course, you have Starbucks [SBUX], Amazon.com [AMZN], Boeing [BA], which still has its main manufacturing facilities here, even though it's headquartered in Chicago, and Microsoft [MSFT]. But beyond them, the coverage drops pretty rapidly.

Investors who want a cash payout are better off buying Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) for its 7.8% dividend yield, Cramer said, or AT&T (T), Boeing (BA) and Procter & Gamble (PG), which carry yields of 6.1%, 3.2% and 3.1%, respectively. And these stocks have the potential to appreciate in value, whether through share price or a boosted dividend, while Treasurys just don’t, at least not in this environment.

With news that Boeing (BA) expects its Dreamliner plane to fly by the end of the year, Cramer offered up a few ancillary plays, including Honeywell(HON), which he owns for his Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust; Alcoa (AA), "a giant maker of fasteners"; and Precision Castparts (PCP), which he said is "almost entirely aerospace."

And now we have a whole new cohort going, which is aerospace. If Boeing (BA) really does ship, then you can buy a host of companies, including BE Aerospace (BEAV), Triumph (TGI), Allegheny (ATI), Honeywell (HON), Goodrich (GR) and Spirit (SPR) -- the last could be huge!
